Dubarwa — A micro-dam with a capacity of holding over 350,000 cubic meters of water is under construction in Azaih, Dubarwa sub-zone, through Bidho Construction Company.
The supervisor of the project, Mr. Yosef Yohannes, indicated that activities are being stepped up so as to finalize the construction of the micro-dam before the onset of the rainy season. The local inhabitants are actively participating in the undertaking and preparations are underway to cultivate farmlands around the micro-dam. Previously, the inhabitants were encountering potable water supply problems.
Azaih is located 10 km east of Shiketi along the Asmara-Dubarwa road.
