Liberia: JFK Equipped With Essential Drugs

Monrovia — In order to help the country health system couple with its health delivery efforts, the Great Commission Victory Ministries has donated a consignment of medical drugs to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital (JFK).

Delivering the drugs to the JFK hospital at its premises recently, the general overseer of the Great Commission Victory Ministries international, Rev. Emmanuel Gyamfi said it is his ministry way of contributing to the health needs of the Liberian people.

He reminder the JFK family that said drugs essential and were made available to his ministry by the International Children Fund (ICF) based in the USA.

"The International Children Fund donates these drugs to the Great Commission Victory Ministries, and the ministries knowing the health situation in the country and JFK being the central point for the nation's health needs, we dean it necessary to donating these drugs", Rev. Gyamfi.

Receiving the drugs on behalf of JFK,Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert Dennis, thanked the donor and assured that the drugs will be used for the purpose intended.

He praised the Great Commission Victory Ministries for the donation and added that the drugs are very essential and have long expiring date, which according to him, will be valuable for sometimes. He also assured the donors and its partner (ICF) that the drugs will definitely be given to the needed patients free of charge.

Dr. Dennis called on the donor to continue its good effort towards the people of Liberia especially in the area of the health delivery system.

Some of the drugs are mebedazole-500g, tetracycline-5g, eye drop-0.5percentage10ml, gentamicin-0.3percentage 5ml among other essential drugs.

Similar donation was made to the TB and Leprosy control program but said drugs were I only intended for TB patients who are currently been treated at said place referred as TB Annex located in Congo Town.
