Angola: Cunene - Youth Recognises Use of Training Centres

Young people from different places of Ondjiva city and Namacunde district in southern Cunene province, recognised on Thursday the local government efforts and engagement in its policy of building new training centres and pavilion of arts and crafting.

A survey, conducted by Angop, in these districts, most of youth believes that a vocational training may provide them their first job.

Speaking to Angop, Wilson David Cassula, attending a computing course in the pavilion of arts and crafting in Namacunde district, recently opened, congratulated the local government efforts in expanding centres and pavilions of arts and crafting in the southern province.

He also added that the Angolan Government attitude has been benefiting unemployed youth of amacunde district and other places of the province, providing technical-professional training in order to prepare young people in developing the country.

On the other hand, Eduardo Jamba, attending a carpentry course in Ondjiva city, said that the training course will help them to participate in process of developing the country if they get their first job.

According to the local provincial director of public administration, employment and social security, Albino Oliveira da Cruz, the provincial government of Cunene has projected this year to build three pavilions of arts and crafting in Xangongo, Humbe commune and in Chiulo catholic mission in Ombadja district.

The construction of the first integrated centre of employment and professional training around Ondjiva city, with a capacity of receiving 202 students in each training period, is part of the policy of expanding technical-professional teaching in the region level, the head concluded.
