Angola: Huíla - Managers Participate in Accounting, Finance Seminar

About thirty public and private companies managers as well as local businessmen of the southern Huila province have been attending since Wednesday in Lubango city a seminar of basic training on accounting supervision.

Ending on Friday, the forum is an initiative of the Angolan society of studies and consultancy (Consult), in partnership with the International Financial Cooperation World Service of Portugal.

Directed by national and Portuguese experts in accounting and business administration, the attendants in the seminar are learning subjects linked to the importance of the origin of accounting in company, purchase and sales simple operations, balance interpretation and result demonstration.

Company accounting with the staff, notions of folded entries, their application origin and accounting plan, accounting plan results, balance/balance sheet, results and funding loans demonstrations, supervision basic principles and concepts, Angolan fiscal system, evolution and main aspects and features, are the subjects scheduled to be taught.

Speaking to Angop on Wednesday, the coordinator of the seminar, Luís Garrido Lisboa, said that the training actions are aimed at upgrading the trainees to basic knowledge about techniques and practices of accounting, finances and supervision in companies.

"The training is destined to Angolan officials of small, medium and big companies, in order to strengthen their capacities in management and financial issues in general," he said.

He added that this project will cover the whole country, but Luanda, Benguela, Uíge and Huíla have already benefited from the respective training.
