The Eritrean Ambassador to France, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Dahli, noted that Eritrea is endowed with rich tourism potentials and historical relics. He made the remarks in a statement he gave to French media outlets keen to highlight the tourism sector.

Stating that excavations so far carried out in some parts of the country had revealed that Eritrea is home to ancient civilization, Dr. Dahli indicated that the inscriptions discovered on rocks in the Northern and Southern Red Sea regions date back to over 6,000 years. He further explained that there existed major trade exchange between Eritrea and the Egyptian Pharaohs and added that such relations that goes back to 2,500 B.C fully attests to Eritrea's ancient civilization.

Pointing out that one can experience different weather conditions within a short span of time in Eritrea in view of its spectacular geographic location, Dr. Dahli noted that Eritrea is endowed with fascinating landscape ranging from 100 meters below sea level to 3,015 meters above sea level, coupled with a breathtaking coastline of over 1,000 km.
