The secretary-general of National Assembly (Parliament), Diogo de Jesus, left Friday for Cape Town, South Africa, to preside over the meeting of the Association of Secretaries General of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Parliaments.

Diogo de Jesus, also SADC's chairperson of the Association of Secretaries General, told reporters, at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, that the meeting, set to start next Sunday, will discuss and analyse activities developed by the institution during the first quarter of 2008.

The official referred that he will also participate at the meeting of the parliament's secretaries of the Inter Parliamentary Union, slated for Monday, in which the participants will share experience, with view to better guarantee the effectiveness in the work.
