Luanda — Angola will participate at the world championship of football with crutches in England, in 2009, Angop has learnt.
Angola's first participation at this event was assured by the chairman of the Angolan Para-Olympics Committee (CPA), Leonel da Rocha Pinto, during a presentation ceremony of the trophy that Angola got (third place) in the African championship with crutches.
The continental competition took place between March 30 and April 06, in Liberia. The host team won the tournament, followed by Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Ghana gave up.
