Angola: Border Police Seize Tax Invasion Goods

Several goods were confiscated by the Border Police and handed over on Friday to the customs services of Santa-Clara, over tax invasion.

Among the goods seized, in the mark 19, along the border between Angola and Namibia, are 83 boxes of beer, 78 of soft drink, 18 of wine, 24 of whisky, 20 tape recorder, nine amplifiers and two boxes of juice.

According to the border police provincial commander in Cunene, first superintendent Américo Roberto, the National Police provincial command in Cunene has been developing actions to fight tax invasion and goods smuggling.

During the operative week, the border police in Mark 20 arrested four foreign citizens, being two Chinese, one from the Democratic Republic of Congo and one of unknown nationality who were trying to enter the country illegally.
