With only three games left before the end of the campaign, Ramotswa-based Killer Giants are confident of promotion from First Division South to the Premier League at the end of the season.

They have slipped at the last hurdle before but this time, the Siga club believes they will do it. On Sunday, Killer Giants host Gantsi Terrors in a game they need to win to cement their grip at the top of the table.

Killer Giants lead the standings with 35 points. They have not lost a game since the start of the second round and players have started to believe that promotion is within reach. The morale is high and everybody at the club is rearing to go. Club spokesman, Mokwepa Kereng said their priority is to win all the three remaining games.

"We are left with three games and we do want a draw in any of them. We want to win all of them. My players have started to believe in themselves and the confidence is growing," Kereng told Mmegi Sport.

He is not worried that in two of the three games, they will meet unpredictable Masitaoka and another promotion chasing side Naughty Boys. Kereng said they are happy to have been given the chance to play this Sunday because idleness will affect the players' level of fitness.

"Initially we were not supposed to play this Sunday but Gantsi Terrors did us a favour by asking for double fixtures this weekend. They will play in Mochudi and come to us on Sunday. But this does not mean we will treat them lightly. We know they also want to avoid relegation and would not be any push over. But actually we would have welcomed any team because our concern is to keep fit," he said.

Another duel on Sunday will see Young Strikers facing troubled Wonder Sporting at Sharps Ground. Young Strikers have surprised many by bravely fighting from the 11th position to vie for promotion. Following their 2-0 victory against Mochudi Buffaloes last Sunday, the Gaborone Extension 27 team is in fifth place with an outside chance of making it to the Premier League. Even if they fail to get automatic promotion, Strikers could still qualify through the play-offs.

At Naughty Boys ground, relegated Blue Diamonds visit Tlokweng United on Sunday. Prior to the Sunday encounters, Prisons XI and Mochudi Buffaloes come face to face at the SSG. The games might produce fireworks as both sides are desperate to catch up with leaders Killer Giants. Buffaloes hope to put their shock defeat to Strikers behind them and focus on bringing back their campaign on track.

Prisons surprised even themselves last weekend when they fought from one goal down to win 4-1 against Tlokweng United with less than 25 minutes left in the game. Naughty Boys play hosts to Masitaoka hoping to improve their home record and put a stronger challenge for promotion.
