One ton of foodstuffs was handed over Saturday in Luanda to the Timba community, Viana district, by Angolan ruling MPLA party district committee, ANGOP learnt.

The donation given to the community is made up of rice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, soap, cool drinks and milk.

The activity was led by MPLA's first secretary to Viana district and members of the party Central Committee, Dulce Ginga, and included a music concert.

Timba community population activity is based mainly on subsistence farming.
