A workshop on "Child Trafficking in Angola" is taking place from Monday to Thursday in Luanda under the aegis of the National Institute of Children (INAC), Angop learnt.

With this meeting, INAC intends to gather government and civil society sectors to reflect on the concept and practices of infant trafficking, as well as produce recommendations that will contribute to the drafting of a common strategic plan.

The meeting will also be a contribution to eradicate this evil that needs a rapid intervention meant for the elimination of all factors that put the children in situations of risk: infant labour, trafficking and sexual exploration.

Child trafficking is a human rights violation that hit annually more than one million children worldwide, adds the note.
