The Nzeto/Soyo road with 141 kilometres in length shall be totally rehabilitated and turned into a highway in a 24-months deadline, ANGOP learnt this Monday from an official source.

The Road Institute of Angola (INEA) entrusted the rehabilitation works in Soyo district (northern Zaire province), with funds from the State Budget, which have not been specified.

According to the director general of INEA, Joaquim Sebastião, the works will be carried out in four phases, the first will comprise the Nzeto/Quinzau locality, the second Quinzau/Quifuma, the third Quifumo/Soyo and the fourth includes various works and bridges with a total of around 1,400 metres.

According to the source, the route is part of the Kifangondo/Soyo project, belonging to the Luanda/Cabinda road, aimed at linking both regions.

The route shall have a final platform of 17 metres wide, comprising two lanes of 3,75 metres in each way, with a central separator and road margins of 75 centimetres on both sides.
