Eritrea: Administrator Stresses Significance of Coordinated Endeavors in Nurturing Dynamic Youths

The Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Tewolde Kelati, underlined the significance of coordinated endeavors on the part of different institutions towards nurturing dynamic youths to be equipped with national values. He made the remarks in a conference on coordination of government institutions on the question of the youth that was held from April 11 to 12 in Asmara. Mr. Tewolde called on the general public to create conducive grounds for youths so that they could actively participate in the nation-building process.

Also speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, Mr. Sultan Saeed, stressed the need to make coordinated and effective investment in youth so as to ensure the sustainability of effective implementation of development programs. In this regard, he emphasized the need for mapping out youth-centered programs. The NUEYS Chairman further called on the youth to step up their participation in national affairs.

Following discussion on the papers presented at the conference, the participants adopted significant resolutions and recommendations. Different songs, musical shows and dramas were staged in the course of the conference, according to reports.
