The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr.Lucky Imasuen, has faulted the former Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC) President, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, over his claims on electoral malpractice in the last governorship polls in the state by issuing a general condemnation without sufficient evidence.
Imasuen who spoke at the fund raising and award ceremony of the Etsako Club 81 noted that the tribunal verdict was repugnant to the law of national justice, equity and good conscience.
Alhaji Aliyu Umaru, President of Etsako Club 81 said that the club gives awards only to deserving leaders and that the award presented to the Governor of Edo State Prof Oserheimen Osunbor, Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola (SAN); Chief Mike Ozekhome and others is based on merit.
According to Imasuen:: "So far, Edo people have reacted calmly to the tribunal's verdict because they are satisfied with the present administration's efforts to revive the infrastructural amenities in the state.
"The verdict of election tribunal cannot distract the clear vision the administration has for the people.
Commenting further, Imasuen said God will soon speak through the Court of Appeal and that he believes in him.
The administration is not crooked as it has been in the past, the political stakes are high, the people are happy. Since we started we have embarked on a mission to revive the infrastructural facilities in the state.
He listed some of the projects the administration has embarked on which previous administration did venture into.

Edo State at the moment is witnessing a new dawn in terms of social infrastructure, for instance construction of drainage system to control erosion and flooding, rehabilitation of roads as part of the measures to address the deplorable state of our roads.
