The remains of the delegate of the Interior Ministry and provincial commander of the National Police of north-east Lunda Norte province, sub-commissioner Evaristo de Sousa Neves, who passed away last April 10 in Brazil due to illness, will be buried this Tuesday afternoon at Alto das Cruzes cemetery, in Luanda.

Before the funeral, set for 02pm, the coffin with the deceased's body will be displayed at the central station of the fire-fighters department, where, apart from being honoured by various entities of the country, a mass will be held, reads a funeral rites programme delivered to ANGOP this Tuesday.

Evaristo de Sousa Neves, also known as Capic, was born in 1949 at Lucala district, northern Kwanza Norte province, and participated in the proclaiming of the ex-Popular Armed Forces for the Liberation of Angola, in the capacity of squadron commander.

Amongst the various posts held at the National Police, highlight falls to that of provincial delegate and Interior Ministry's representative in Huambo, in 1991, and in Namibe, in 1999.
