At the meeting, that is being presided over by the general commander of the National Police, commissioner Ambrósio de Lemos, the participants are discussing on the organisation process for the upholding of conditions of forthcoming legislative elections, scheduled for September of this year.

Other matter that is being analysed in this Consultative Council is the upholding of the 27th edition of African Cup of Nations (CAN) of soccer, to be hosted in Angola in 2010.

At the opening session, the general commander of the National Police, Ambrósio de Lemos, said that this meeting is taking place in a moment of particular importance, as there have been created the conditions for the upholding of legislative elections.
