The Sanatorium Hospital of Sacavula district in eastern Lunda Norte province recorded three deaths caused by tuberculosis (TB) between January and April 2008, out of the 56 cases registered, ANGOP learnt.

The director of the Hospital, Adolfo Agostinho Kativa said that 53 patients have been hospitalised, adding that this was due to lack of hygiene and relation with infected people and malnutrition.

The Sanatorium Hospital operates with three physicians and has the capacity to accommodate 87 patients.
