Luanda — Swedish consultant with that country's Social Democratic Party, Ritva Alberts, on Tuesday here said the electoral campaign in Angola will be fiercely contested, considering women's motivation in this process, ANGOP has learnt.
Ritva Alberts said so while speaking to the press, on the fringes of the closing ceremony of a cycle of talks of political upgrading designed for militants with the ruling MPLA party's female wing (OMA), which started last week.
Invited by OMA managing board to address the talks, the Swedish official said that the capacity, motivation and commitment of the ladies to this process have shown that the elections will be tightly disputed.
Ritva Alberts, who arrived in Angola last Thursday, transmitted a series of information in matters of preparation of elections, which come from her experience acquired across 25 years of political activity in her country.
About 80 OMA members participated in the training.
The parliamentary elections in Angola have been scheduled for 5-6 September this year.
