A workshop on the theme "Trafficking of children in Angola" starts this Wednesday, in Luanda, under the umbrella of the National Children Institute (INAC).

On a note recently sent to ANGOP, INAC explains that with this meeting it intends to gather government institutions and civil society organisations to reflect about the concepts and practices relating to trafficking of children, as well as make recommendations that should contribute to the elaboration of a common strategic work plan.

The meeting is intended to collect contributions for the eradication of this problem, which calls for quick intervention, aiming at the elimination of all factors that place children in situation of risk, such as child labour, trafficking and sexual exploitation.

According to the mentioned note, children trafficking is a human rights violation that currently affects over one million children in the whole world.
