The Peace Building and Resource Center (PBRC), a local NGO has ended a month-long peace advocacy workshop involving ten communities in Lofa County.

The workshop was held in Zorzor and Salayea districts where more than 200 villagers participated.

According to the Project Officer of the Lofa County branch of PBRC, James Duwor, the primary objective of the workshop was to organize conflict management teams that would take over from the organization when it phases out.

He further noted that his organization intends to ensure that peace and tranquility would reign among the people, especially in the rural areas where citizens were badly affected during the civil war.

Mr. Duwor informed the participants that PBRC was concerned about reconciliation and unity among all Liberians, and added that they would do everything possible to ensure that Liberians live in peace and harmony.

"Citizens must consider togetherness as a foundation for sustainable peace and development," the peace advocate reminded participants.

The PBRC executive then challenged participants to forget the past and forge ahead with the rebuilding of the county.
