Lubango

Miss/Huila 2008, Nádia de Vasconcelos, criticized Wednesday in Lubango, the local businesspeople for poor sponsorship for the achievement of her philanthropic projects, when it is left only three mouths before her reign is over.

Speaking to Angop, 21-year old Nádia Vasconcelos said that she had asked local businessmen for several sponsorships for her cause, but she could not get satisfactory response from the local entrepreneurs.

Another project of Miss/Huila 2008 that has also been embargoed due to lack of support is linked to the promotion of tourism in the southern Huila province that goes through the dissemination of hotel and tourism areas.

Since her election to the title of the most beautiful woman in Huila province, in August of 2007, Nádia Vasconcelos did not promote any philanthropic activity, due to the shortage of assistance.

She once again appealed to the businessmen for more support in her work, just like other entrepreneurs usually do in other provinces.

"I would like to finish my mandate, and say, like other Misses, that I was able to achieve my project at least at 70 per cent", she said.

Nádia de Vasconcelos only got half of the prizes, namely USD 4,000, and she will get the rest at the end of her reign, according to the regulation of Miss/Huila Committee.
