Luena — The Angolan National Child Council (CNC) chairperson, João Baptista Kussumua, appealed on Tuesday, in Luena, to the Mass Media Organs to report educational and informative programmes on children and youth.
Speaking during a meeting held with the local government authorities, the Cabinet minister, defended that such programmes should include themes linked to Health, Education, Culture, Law, among others that contribute to the development of the minors.
He also suggested the need for the dissemination of 11 engagements of child divided into four groups, in which the first is integrated by children aged 0-5 years (life expectancy, food and nutritional security, birth registration and first childhood education).
According to Mr Kussumua, it is part of rights of children aged 6-18, "Primary education" and "Juvenile justice", being the third extended to all children, in which at the meeting was selected "The prevention and reduction of the impact of HIV/AIDS within families and children", "Preventive alleviation of violence against child" and "Family Competence".
In the fourth and last group, are the commitments that guarantee the maintenance of the achievements in favour of the minors, such as "the child and mass media" and "the child in the State Budget", the official referred.
During the meeting, were also discussed the mechanisms of implementation, the functioning of the child protection network, budgetary processing for projects and programmes, as well as the conclusions and recommendations taken from the Third National Forum on Child held last June.
