Angolan deputy minister of Territory Administration, Edeltrudes Costa, Thursday in Luanda appealed to the political parties to send their supervisors to the Electoral Registration brigades to follow up the updating of the registration going until May 31.

Speaking to the press at the conference on prevention of electoral conflicts, promoted by the Angola Institute of Electoral and Democratic System (IASED) in cooperation with the National Electoral Council (CNE), the official said that most of the electoral brigades agents pertain to the ruling MPLA party and the main opposition Unita.

The deputy minister added that some parties have responded to the appeals of the Inter-Ministerial Commission for the Electoral Process (CIPE), by sending their agents to the administrations and brigades, where the registration of youths completing 18 years of age until September this year, are taking place.

"We believe that we will have other supervisors to witness the way in which the updating phase is being held," Edeltrudes Costa added.
