Windhoek — A much-needed arts make-up workshop for theatre and filming will be staged on May 19, it was announced by the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre.

A French expert in the art of make-up and masks will be conducting the 8-day make-up workshop from May 19-26. The project is co-hosted by the Warehouse Theatre, which will provide the venue, material and help facilitate the process.

The expert invited by the FNCC is Catherine Baot, a professional make-up artist with wide experiences. "We are looking for persons interested in make-up ideally with prior experience and has ambition and capacity to develop in this area.

The workshop will cover basics of theatre and film make up and highlight the different techniques applied, and, if we have enough time, will also venture into special applications such as imitation wounds," a press release from the FNCC stated.

Interested people can contact the FNCC.
