It took Mt. Cameroon FC of Buea 90 minutes to equalise in their match against Canon Sportif of Yaounde at the Molyko Sports Stadium, Wednesday, April 16.

Substitute attacker, Kelvin Agbor, with jersey number 29, had the Herculean task to bring back home side Mt. Cameroon FC into the game. It was one of the Day 20 matches of the ongoing National D1 league dubbed MTN Elite 1.

Medjo, donning jersey number 19, who also came in as a substitute player for Canon, had put the visitors on the lead at the 60th minute when he slid in a good pass from an on rushing midfielder into the net of Mt. Cameroon FC's keeper, Ismael Djoudjou.

Though a barren first half, Mt. Cameroon FC lost about four scoring opportunities, with Canon's skilful keeper, Xavier Mbarga, punching out Mt. Cameroon FC's incursions. In the second segment of the game, both teams came in with some verve and determination to make the difference. A difference which came, thanks to the ingenuity of the attackers of both teams.

However, many fans at the Molyko Sports Stadium found the day's referee, Ndongo Ewunge, wanting in his handling of the match. Like the referee, the first lines man, Ngoon Beleck seemed to have been making a debut in the business of football handling. Some of their actions were poorly appreciated, with the fans, especially those of Mt. Cameroon booing at them.

While Mt. Cameroon FC came from behind to safe face, another Southwest Provincial D1 outfit, Tiko United, walloped visiting University of Ngaoundere FC 3-0 at the Tiko Town Green Stadium.

These varying fortunes put the Southwest D1 clubs on very comfortable positions on the league table.
