The Liberian Senate Thursday rejected National Security Minister-designate Anthony Kromah.

Speaking to reporters following an Executive Session, Acting Senate Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate Lahai Lassana said National Security Minister-designate Kromah was rejected by plenary for lying to the august body under oath.

Senator Lassana warned that any presidential nominee appearing before the august body must ensure that their credentials are counter-checked before submitting same.

According to the Lawmakers, Kromah claimed that he earned a Master's degree in Criminal Justice, but following the review, it was discovered that he earned Master's degree in counseling instead of Criminal Justice.

Kromah was recently rejected by a 15-man Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence for presenting false documents to the body.

Grand Cape Mount County Abel Massallay later filed a motion of reconsideration.
