Monrovia

For the first time since its establishment more than 150 years ago, the GEDA A.M.E Church in Brewerville, outside Monrovia, is expected to commence a weekly radio broadcast of its Sunday worship service and other activities of the church.

According to the Church's newly assigned Pastor, Rev. Cassius Leven Barclay, arrangements have been concluded with the management of Power F.M. Radio and TV for the commencement of the broadcast on May 4, 2008 at 8:00-8:30 p.m.

He said the weekly radio broadcast will be part of the church's evangelism and outreach program and is intended to attract both old and new potential members to be part of what he termed "new and amazing things" that God is doing under his present administration at GEDA.

Rev. Barclay called past and present members of the church to rally around and support his pastoral mission and goals not only to lift the church, but also to propel it into a new height of growth and productivity.

In a release issued, the young Minister of the gospel said he had a 'vision' from God to transform the GEDA A.M.E Church from its present state into a living holistic ministry in which parishioners and the Brewerville community would be thought the word of God with power and truth.

Rev. Barclay disclosed that among projects high on his plan of actions are the reopening of the church's school which was elevated to senior high level prior to it being shut down, enhancing the evangelistic and outreach program, and extension of the edifice to meet existing realities.
