The Margibi Magisterial Court has ordered the eviction of squatters residing in the vicinity of the Roberts International Airport (RIA).

According to the release, the eviction of all squatters at the airport by the court remains a paramount issue for the management as it tries to improve facilities at the nation's only international Airport.

The release said since the squatters refused to move from the airport premises, the issue of legal proceeding would now go ahead for the implementation of the court order which calls for forceful eviction.

The release said the RIA management would legally abide by any move taken by a court of competent jurisdiction to clear its premises with squatters once it is in the interest of the management.

Recently, the court ordered that all squatters clear off the premises of the RIA but later relaxed the forceful eviction following an appeal by the Superintendent of the Margibi County, Levi Piah to give the squatters a grace period, the release said.
