Cape Town — The 118th Conference of the Interparliamentary Union (IPU) Angola is attending with a delegation headed by the National Assembly, Roberto de Almeida, is closing Friday evening in Cape Town, South Africa.
At the moment, IPU standing commissions, that is of Peace and International Security, Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade, Democracy and Human Rights are working on the reports, resolutions and decisions, before submission to a plenary session.
"Pushing back the frontiers of poverty" was the main theme of the conference called to tackle the world's political, economic and social situation.
The Angolan delegation to the conference includes the MPs Bernarda da Silva, Samuel Daniel, Campos Tomas and Mário Sambwako.
