Angola: Over 30 Armed Forces Officers Promoted

Thirty eight officers of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) were Friday here promoted in a ceremony presided over by the assistant chief of staff of the Army, general Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda.

Generals, lieutenant generals and brigadiers of the Navy and of the Army were promoted at the ceremony that was held at the Ministry of National Defence.

At the occasion general Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda, who considered the deed as important, warned that recently-promoted top officers for the need of responsibility in carrying out missions entrusted to them.

"With this action we can turn the Angolan Armed Forces into a safe tool for the guarantee of sovereignty, independence and the achievement of all the goals of the Angolan government", he explained.

By concluding his speech, in the presence of general and superior officers of various divisions of the General Staff of FAA, the assistant chief of staff of the Armed Forces wished the recently-promoted officers success in their work.
