Angola: Commission Left With 20 Days to Present Causes of DNIC Collapse

The investigation commission, created by a presidential despatch, into the collapse of the former National Criminal Investigation Department (DNIC) building has 20 days to conclude its work, Angop learnt this Friday from an official source.

According to the source, the presidential despatch number 11/08, which determines the creation of the commission, has already been published in the State Gazette.

The commission is integrated by a representative of the Higher Council of Public Works and the National Director for Public Buildings and Monuments of the Public Works Ministry.

It also comprises the director-general of the Angolan Engineer Laboratory (LEA), the National Director of Fire Brigade, and a representative of the Angolan Engineers Order.

The ex-DNIC building, located in Luanda city, collapsed last March 29, killing 30 people and injuring 10 people.
