Huambo — The provincial government of Huambo intends to build a war museum in order to mark the everlasting peace achievement and serve as witness for next generations on the years of armed conflict lived in Angola, including the liberation struggle against colonial oppression.
This intention was declared to Angop Friday in central Huambo province by the provincial director of culture, Pedro Nambongue Chissanga, who indicated next May to be the probable date to hand over the project to the Cabinet Council, for its analysis.
"The main objective of building this museum is to teach new generations the amount of blood shed for the attainment of peace", he emphasised.
The official also said that in the infrastructure will be displayed military objects, documents, military traces, photographs and videos that enable to preserve the past.
Pedro Chissanga concluded that at the moment the provincial government is working hard on the conclusion of the projects and convince the members of the Cabinet Council.
