Angola: Cape Verde's Agriculture Minister Visits Country

Cape Verde's Agriculture and Environment Minister, Maria Madalena das Neves, will carry out from next Monday a working visit to Angola, at the invitation of Angolan Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Afonso Pedro Canga.

According to a communiqué issued by the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry (MINADER), sent to Angop this Friday, in Luanda, the visit is in light of the Basic Agreement of Economic, Technical, Scientific, Social and Cultural cooperation signed between both Portuguese countries, in 1978.

During her stay in the country, the Cape Verdean official will be received in audience by the country's Prime Minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, and will work with her Angolan counterpart, Afonso Pedro Canga.

The West African nation's delegation working agenda to Angola includes a travel to Pungo Andongo Farm, in northern Malanje province, as well as the signing of the protocol of cooperation between both Ministries.

In Agriculture and cattle-breeding sector, refers the note, the technical teams of both Ministries will promote special plans of cooperation in the research areas of veterinary services, agronomic, forest, hydraulic, business-related and training of staff.
