This was announced by Angolan Justice minister, Manuel Aragão, on Friday in Luena, eastern Moxico province.
The minister told journalists that with the new system, similar to that currently used in the electoral registration, the Government intends to register within a shorter period and issue IDs to more national citizens.
According to the official, a specialised firm has already has been contracted to install the equipment countrywide.
Manuel Aragão said it is the Government's determination to issue ID's to more than eight million inhabitants in 15 months.
He characterised the new system as more efficient and faster in processing data, as compared with the currently in use in almost all provinces of the country.
The Justice minister is since Friday in Moxico to learn about the functioning of his sector and outline strategies to respond to the investments of the Government towards the goals planned.
