Angola: Ruling MPLA Meets in Extraordinary Conference

About 325 delegates from the nine districts of eastern Moxico province are attending this Saturday that 3rd Extraordinary Conference of the ruling MPLA party, opened by the co-ordinator of the Follow Up Team of the organisation's politburo, Joana Lina.

At the meeting, being presided over by the first provincial secretary of the party, João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade", the militants are debating the proposals on MPLA's participation in the legislative elections, set for next September.

The participants will also analyse the proposals for the government's programme to be presented during the legislative elections.

Electing delegates to the 3rd National Conference scheduled for next May 09 to 10, in the country's capital (Luanda), and the analysis of the party's internal situation, as well as the socio-economic situation of the province are also part of the agenda of the meeting that will end this Saturday.
