Londuimbali — The national director for Employment and Professional Training, Leonel Bernardo, on Friday in Londuimbali, central Huambo Province, expressed his satisfaction at the quality of works done by former soldiers, in the end of the three-month long professional course that they attended.
Leonel Bernardo said so at the end of the closing ceremony of the tenth cycle of professional training of 100 former soldiers, who now have got skills in electricity, ironwork, carpentry and joinery.
"The works have an acceptable level of quality, considering that many of them did not have any knowledge of the trade they learnt. I believe that with another six months of practice they will become professionals and be able to go to the job market, thus contributing for the country's reconstruction process", he stated.
He also revealed that the institution is to build professional training centres in the eleven districts of Huambo Province.
"This move by the government will enable young people without much education to start their own businesses to support their families", he stressed.
