Angola: Premier Discusses Cooperation With Swazi King

Angolan Prime Minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, met Saturday in Port Louis, Mauritius with king Mswati III of Swaziland, with whom he discussed issues linked to cooperation between the countries.

Fernando da Pidedade Dias dos Santos arrived Friday in Port Louis, where, on behalf of President José Eduardo dos Santos, he attended on Saturday the international conference on poverty and development organised by the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

Speaking to press, the Prime Minister said that during the meeting they had analysed issues related to security and defence policy in SADC region, as Angola is the chair of this organ while Swaziland is the deputy president.

He added that "His Majesty" expressed the need for reinforcement of cooperation between both countries and the possibility of visiting Angola.

Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos affirmed that the two states will start the cooperation with exchange of information and reciprocal visits aiming at identifying possible areas for cooperation.
