The training, they also added would treat such courses as general computer appreciation, information and communication technology fundamentals, office automation and document management to include file transfer protocol. Specifically, they said their goal is to compliments efforts of the Lagos state government in actualising service delivery through information technology. They maintained that the foundation is positioned and well equipped with a state of the art training centre ready for use by the people of the state.
They further hinted that the foundation is challenged by the need to prepare the people of Lagos through a totally free training programme for the challenge of necessity to understand and grasp the workings of new technology-based innovations of the state government.
"More challenging is the low level computer appreciation of the people due to high poverty rate, incapacitating people from becoming informed about the basics of computer. But this vacuum, this free training will hopefully fill", they stated.
