Huambo

Angola's central Huambo province capital city has not recorded any new case of cholera in the last 48 hours, apart from the 134 people affected since the disease reappeared in February this year, Angop learnt from a source from the public health services.

The head of the cholera treatment centre, Maurício Kassoma, said the wards of Bom Pastor, Benfica Alto and Baixo, Kakute and Kalundo, on the outskirts of Huambo city, are the most affected areas.

This year, 13 people died of cholera in Huambo city, mainly in residential zones.
