Athletics Namibia (AN) has named the athletes who will compete at the forthcoming CAA Senior African Track and Field Championships, scheduled for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 28 April to 4 May.

A media release said the team will depart on April 26 from the Hosea Kutako International Airport at 09h00. It also called on the selected athletes and officials to get yellow-fever vaccinations and certificates to be allowed to enter Ethiopia.

AN president Alpha Kangueehi told Nampa that the vaccination will be administered at the Robert Mugabe Clinic next to the Ministry of Finance in the capital.

The athletes are Hannes von Lieres (high jump), Tjipekapora Herunga (400m), Agnes Samaria (800m/1500m), Stephan Louw (long jump), Hitjivirue Kaanjuka (200m), Roger Haitengi (triple jump) and Salomon Tuaire (high jump).

The team officials will be Alpha Kangueehi (head of delegation), Mike Haimbodi (team manager), Gottfried Tsowaseb (coach) and Seun Karupa (assistant coach).
