(URA won 4-3 on penalties)

Cranes number one spot kick taker Simon Masaba fired wide his penalty as Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) dumped SC Villa out of the Kakungulu Cup in a dull game played at Namboole yesterday.

The quarter-final tie ended goalless after regular time and Masaba missed Villa's first spot kick after URA goalie Frank Muwonge had already dived the wrong side. The tax collectors won the game 4-3, courtesy of conversions by Dan Wagaluka, Ronald Ssesanga, Johnson Bagoole and captain Godfrey Kazibwe.

URA is waiting for the winner of the tie between Victors and CRO. Meanwhile, the National U-20 soccer side, Hippos played to a 0-0 draw away in DR. Congo in the first leg of the Africa Youth Cup qualifiers. The youngsters overcame a hostile crowd and mistreatment to set themselves up for a shot at qualification to the nest round in the return leg. In league action, George Nsimbe's Kampala City Council maintained their title challenge with a 2-0 victory over Ediofe Hills. Goal machine Morris Odipo and Charles Ssemanda netted before half-time for the seven time league champions to win their fifth consecutive game.
