Liberia: Cuttington Administration Dispels Rumors of Demonic Spirit

Monrovia — The Administration of the Cuttington University has refuted rumors that there is a demonic spirit on the campus especially Rally Hall Dormitory.

The administration said it all happened when a campus security officer raised a false alarm in Rally Hall Dormitory on the night of April 18, 2008 which created a pandemonium in the dormitory under the pretext that he saw a demonic spirit.

As a result of the pandemonium, five students fainted and were rushed to the Phebe Hospital for treatment.

A release said at 8'0 clock on the morning of April 19, 2008, all five students were discharged by the medical doctor and returned on campus to resume taking their mid-term exams.

The CU Administration assured parents and sponsors that a complete calm has been restored on campus, in particular in Rally Hall.

The CU Administration said to ensure the general security on campus, the schedule of power will be extended up to 2:am everyday until these malicious fabricated rumors and illusions are dispelled.

The administration said it is also conducting investigation into the source of this mishap and fully reviewing the procedures in handling such circumstances so that such may not re-occur.
