Luanda — Interclube de Luanda, now the only Angolan representative in the African cups, leave for South Africa, in transit to Egypt, to play against Zamalek of Egypt on Saturday, for the last eliminatory stage of access to the African clubs champions league.
The team coached by Carlos Mozer will arrive on Tuesday in Egypt, and carry out a training session on the same day, said to ANGOP, in Luanda, a member of the team.
The squad will travel with the players Mário, Carlos, Kito, Romi, Lucas, Nuno, Yano, Eduardo, Minguito (captain), Wetshi, Gilgo, Bumba, Yuri, Kanu, Aspirina, Fabrício, Dione and Brito.
The striker Henriques, who is recovering from an injury, might not play, although he will travel with the team.
The national champions, coached by the Brazilian Carlos Mozer have eliminated Sporting da Praia of Cape Verde and Renacimiento of Equatorial Guinea.
It is the first time Interclube attempt the access to the African clubs champions cup.
In 2001, interclube played the final of the Confederation of African Football Cup (CAF), having lost to Kaiser Chiefs of South Africa by 0-1 in the second leg, after a draw in the first-leg match at home.
