Angola: Five People Die From Various Incidents

Luanda — Five people died during the weekend in sequence of 15 incidents registered by the Fire-fighters Department, ANGOP learnt this Monday here from the spokesperson of the referred institution, Faustino Sebastião.

According to the source, from the deaths announced, three were caused by fire, one by drowning and same number by suicide.

From the 15 occurrences, 12 were fires, one road accident, a drowning and same number of suicides that victimised a 55-year old citizen who jumped from the 9th floor of "J. Pimenta" building, in Ingombota district.

Until this moment, the police are unaware of the reasons for the citizen to commit suicide.

Concerning the fires, the Angolan capital (Luanda) registered the most cases, with seven, Cunene and Huambo, two cases each, Kuando Kubango, one, affecting nine residences, three vehicles and one electricity Transformation Post (TP).

The cases of drowning, road accidents and suicide occurred in Luanda.
