And so, the mediation organised by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education to sort out the long standing clash between Françoise Mbango and the Cameroon Athletics Federation ended up being a farce.

Reason: our "great" lady refused to put her "precious" signature on the document that carried the decisions of the meeting. Like in a hide and seek game, the athlete had to abandon top officials on the negotiation table, to receive some coaching from her sister cum coach. And then, this ridiculous decision not to sign the document because she needed more time to think. Funny!

And talking about the document, one would imagine we had to do with pages of complex information which our Triple Jump Queen needed legal assistance to understand. But no! The document in question had just two short points - one uplifting Mbango's suspension and the other committing the athlete to respect the rules and regulations of the Athletics federation. Period. And what was so technical about this to require time to think? And the insolence with which the athlete abandoned her elders; the very ones who helped lift her up to grace! Is this not simply incongruous?

Even the "Old Lion", Roger Milla, did not understand why the Lioness was so uncouth. Maybe there is more to this issue than what is said in public. And if there is more...You wouldn't get it from me, anyway.
