Malanje

The first provincial secretary of the ruling MPLA, Cristovão da Cunha urged on the weekend, in northern Malanje province, militants of the party to reinforce the work, taking into account the legislative elections set for next September.

The official, who was speaking during a preparatory meeting of the second provincial conference, highlighted the importance of the forthcoming legislative elections for the party and for the country.

Member of MPLA's provincial committee in Malanje, João Kingila Sebastião and Nicolau Kapenda, were elected in replacement of Jacob Fernando Ximba and Francisco Matos Clemente dos Santos, due to their passing away.

The meeting approved the rules of procedures of the provincial conference, as well as the list of delegates to the party's third national conference scheduled for next May in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
