MIDENO General Manager, John B. Ndeh, has drawn the attention of the Vice Prime Minister to the fact that one of their most aching problems is the "trespass or aggressive intrusion of the Cameroon Tea Estate, CTE, on MIDENO land at Santa Coffee Estate."
Ndeh said this is disrupting their "activities seriously and might bring famine to the province if we fail to produce planting materials as a result of that." He said the problem with Al Hadji Danpulo, who owns the CTE plantation, is so serious that he has prepared a separate paper to that effect for the attention of the Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali.
The MIDENO boss pleaded with Amadou to use "his exalting position to help us out of this aching problem which we encounter from year to year."Ndeh said another of MIDENO's periodical problems is the irregular disbursements of funds from the Ministry of Finance.
"Our main problem which grows serious with each passing year since 2003 has been shortage of funds for running costs and for investments. Disbursements by the Ministry of Finance are very irregular and small," said Ndeh.
The Minister's visit took him to the premises of Northwest Cooperative Association, NWCA, at Mile III where he was shown around the collapsing infrastructure and how coffee is processed.
