Kenya: Koskei Clinches Darts Open Title

David Koskei edged out Joel Koech 5-4 to lift the annual Bridge Motors darts open singles at Chelimo Complex, Kericho, at the weekend.

Koskei of Koruma Darts Club came form three games down to beat Koech of Sotik in a tense final that attracted 30 players.

Despite losing in the finals, Koech won the highest finisher award after darting 180 points.

In the semis, Koskei topped Jackson Limo of Jamji Factory 4-0 while Koech dismissed John Sigei of Engineering by a similar margin.In the third place play-off , Sigei humbled Limo 4-0. The annual competition was the first to be held in the Kericho this year. Most of the events in the darts calendar had been postponed due to post election violence . -By Rita Damary
