Johannesburg — A TEAM from the Millennium Labour Council (MLC) visited New York this month for meetings with a wide range of fund managers, other investment specialists and a range of other individuals with an interest in emerging markets generally, and SA in particular.

The MLC is a forum of business and trade union leaders, established in 2000, whose purpose is to advance broadly based economic growth and development in SA through a process of dialogue and debate on the critical issues facing the economy and society. The body seeks to support, not replace, social dialogue structures such as the National Economic Development and Labour Council (Nedlac).
