Malanje — The municipal administrators and provincial directors in the north-central Malanje Province are since Monday participating in a seminar on local administration.
The event is being promoted by the National Institute for Local Administration Training (IFAL) and is aimed at upgrading public managers for a better performance of administrative activities in the country.
For five days, the participants will discuss issues relating to territory management and arrangement, as well as administrative projects.
At the opening of the seminar, the Malanje Province governor, Cristóvão da Cunha, highlighted the importance of the event, considering the themes that are being analysed.
"We need responsible, exemplary and supportive cadres that facilitate the work in the municipal administrations and provincial departments".
Cristóvão da Cunha also stressed the need for cadres to be trained to face the tasks relating to the process of administrative decentralisation and territory re-arrangement.
